The Better Business Bureau of Central/Northern Arizona announced the winners of the 2005 Business Ethics Awards last night at the Arizona Biltmore to an audience of over 400 Arizona business leaders and their guests.
“The commitment our fifteen honorees apply to ethical business practices in the marketplace is what makes the Business Ethics Awards such an important event,” said BBB President/CEO Elaine Hugunin. “The judges had to narrow it down to five winners, but truly all of the companies are commendable.”
American Career Executives, who this year celebrates 20 years building careers, walked away the winner of the one to ten employees category.
It’s A Ruff Life!, a pioneer in the Valley’s doggy daycare industry was named the winner of the eleven to fifty employees category.
Parker and Sons, Incorporated, specializing in plumbing, drain cleaning, heating, and air conditioning, earned the winner’s title for the 51 to 250 employees category.
AAA Arizona, Incorporated, a premier Valley auto club with over 650,000 members, was announced as the winner of the 251 to 500 employees category.
Finally, Chandler-based Microchip Technology, Incorporated was proclaimed the winner in the over 500 employees category.

The event, sponsored by Wells Fargo, featured UA Men’s Head Basketball Coach Lute Olson as the keynote speaker. After his keynote address on ethics, Olson took time to answer questions from the audience, giving Valley residents the rare opportunity to hear first hand from the basketball hall of famer.
